Our client’s home had not had any updates since the original build in 1986. This home required a modern and sleek renovation which created a functional flow that embraced the large spaces of the house. Our client’s brief was simple—create a beautiful and contemporary home with cutting-edge finishes and high-tech features throughout. We achieved this by realtering the home’s layout and reinstalling the electrical infrastructure.
We completed this renovation in two stages. In Stage 1, we focussed on the ensuite and front of the house. Here, we kept the home’s layout the same; however, we maximised the ensuite space. We added a double-bowl vanity (from a single), a large shower and Roca Bidet Toilet Suite.
Stage 2 focused on the rest of the home, including the kitchen, downstairs bathroom, powder room and laundry. To achieve the best result in the kitchen for our client, we decided to redesign the layout. We opened it up by removing a wall for an open-plan kitchen and living area, giving the home a more modern and functional design. And, we placed the kitchen island in the centre with more storage added on either side. The client decided on Quantum Quartz from Monte Bianco for their island, splashbacks and vanity tops to aid the contemporary layout. To complement the finishes, we used Navlam timber cabinetry and gunmetal tapware to bring warm touches.
In the main bathroom, laundry and powder room, we took a revived approach that created functionality and style. We added a vanity, a new free-standing bath, and state-of-the-art finishes in the bathroom and powder room. While in the laundry, we created ample storage.
