SERVICING AND WARRANTY
WARRANTY
ACT Renovations provides a 10-year workmanship guarantee on all construction works. Should any defect arise during the warranty period due to improper materials and/or workmanship, the make good will be completed by ACT Renovations at no cost to the owner within this warranty period.
SERVICE
ACT Renovations provides a 12-month servicing and maintenance due to product fault or general maintenance. This includes construction, product, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling and painting. ACT Renovations have raised the standard servicing from 90 days – 352 days to provide our clients with peace of mind that their product is functioning as it should. This is also a sufficient time to allow good use of the product to ensure there are no issues. Any issues that generally arise outside of this period would be subject to a particular product warranty or an underlying issue non-related to our works.
Outside the 12 month period, the warranty will be lodged with the product manufacturer for their attention and servicing.
Maintenance, Building and structural movement that is not a result of works completed by ACT Renovations is subject to a call-out fee of $160 inc GST including first hour and $88 inc GST for each hour required after or agreed quoted amount.
All servicing and warranties are covered by defects in materials and workmanship but do not include product failures resulting from improper care and maintenance, accidents, misuse, alterations and modifications, fair wear and tear, suitable cleaning and maintenance conducted by the owner in line with the product requirements and general maintenance.
The owners are to notify ACT Renovations at any sign of defect immediately to keep within their warranty requirements.

PLUMBING
All plumbing pipework and connections completed within the space are covered by our 10year warranty.
Any drain inspection and/or servicing required post-renovation is subject to the below fee’s.
Blocked drains due to drain age, roots, dirt, sanitary products, cooking grease and fats are not covered or addressed within our construction quotation and works unless specified otherwise.
Attend site & inspect drains with a camera & provide recording file from inspection. Use of jet rodder for drain blockage. Price allowance for up to 1 hour.
Call out and the first hour $420 inc GST
Per Hour required additionally $120 inc GST
WATERPROOFING
Waterproofing is covered by our 10-year warranty.
All waterproofing is applied to comply with Australian Standard AS 3740.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE GUIDE
ACT Renovations recommends the use of non-abrasive cleaners, chemicals and bleaches. We would recommend warm water with distilled white vinegar or any natural cleaners. The use of extraction fans in areas with moisture and condensation is essential for longevity and prevention of mould build-up.
